“We have received calls from very upset customers that sold or tried to sell their gold to the gold buying kiosks (at shopping centres) or from other competitors.”
Because of these companies trying to take advantage of the public, our Director has decided to write this article to help you get the most money for your gold:
Tips to follow when selling your GOLD,
- Please make sure to ask how much they are paying per gram when you go to the kiosks at the shopping centre. They usually try to avoid answering that question because they know people are now becoming educated and it is not hard to know that 9ct is NOT worth $5 per gram. This has been going on for a long time. Hopefully this will stop soon. Please be very careful of them and let all of your friends and family know.
- When sending Gold by mail, DO NOT send your GOLD to companies that will not tell you the price per gram before you send it! There is a good reason why they don’t tell you. Unfortunately we are not allowed to name them. We can tell you that there is a huge amount of customers that have been ripped off or have wasted their time having to ask for their gold to be sent back as they were only being paid $7 per gram.
- When sending your GOLD by mail, DO NOT be fooled when the other companies tell you that Registered post is insured for $100. Our account manager from the Post Office told us that it was extremely hard to prove and to claim $100 dollars worth of insurance. It is virtually impossible to show proof of what you sent in the parcel. The only way to get adequate insurance is with an insurance broker.
- Registered post is a lot slower than the normal mail. Australia Post says when sending something via registered post to allow up to 7 DAYS for it to arrive!
- DO NOT send gold to companies that don’t have their own INSURANCE BROKERS, there is a reason why insurance companies do not do business with them!
We do not expect you to simply take our word for it. Feel more than free to try them yourself in a careful manner.
